Most of the digital platforms we use, whether for business or pleasure, come with a range of notifications options. Think of Facebook or Twitter. You can set your own preferences to better manage the notification messages you get. Too many notifications and it’s easy to get bombarded with constant interruptions. Too few and you can have a bad case of FOMO.
The same principle applies to Accelo. There’s a definite sweet spot for notifications which will vary from person-to-person.
There are a huge amount of notifications in Accelo which can be customised. Generally, we recommend that users turn these off for the initial testing and go live period as they are more annoying than useful without the full context.
Once the system is live, that’s when the full power of notifications comes into its own. It’s important as a team that you get the balance right between being kept informed and being constantly interrupted. We advocate a pragmatic approach. It’s as easy as clicking a button to toggle notifications on and off.
You’ll eventually develop your own notifications rules of engagement for your business. We recommend you revisit these every so often to make sure you’re getting the most from Accelo.
We’ve created a video which talks through what each of the notifications areas means and some best practice for how to set them up.
