Neil was employed previously with a multinational electrical distribution and automation company, where he finished in September. Whilst this is his first venture into cloud integration, from what he already knows about managing director Dan Fairbairn, Waypoint and the culture of the business, Neil believes he will be a great fit.
“Dan and I got to talking about his business and what I could possibly bring to the table,” Neil explains. “We had a few conversations about where he believed the process gaps lay, and the role was born.”
With a substantial background in customer service and stakeholder management, Neil also brings a strong knowledge of several CRM platforms.
Following steady growth over the last six months, Dan is conscious of the need to keep everything moving smoothly behind the scenes.
“I want to ensure that we still have the highest level of operations whilst we grow,” he says.
“I’ve known Neil for a while, and curiously, as tends to be the case with us and how we hire people, Neil asked me about anyone I knew looking to hire in his industry. I looked through his CV before sending it to some of my contacts, and then decided to steal him for myself.”
Neil looks forward to the challenge of coming into a newly created role and making it his own.
“I’m finally breaking free of the corporate ball and chain,” he says.
Away from his self-confessed “OCD-style attention to detail and crossing tasks off lists”, Neil is a lover of craft beer, live music and good food. He appreciates a Netflix marathon, hill walking and following the soccer and his beloved Stoke City.
