Waypoint welcomes Luke Kennedy to Melbourne team

lukeWith growing consumer awareness of the benefits of cloud-based technologies, it’s been a busy start to the year for Waypoint.

To meet rising demand, web-based implementation consultant Luke Kennedy will join the Waypoint team next month.

Previously engaged with a pharmaceutical company, Kennedy’s most recent project involved implementing web-based software in a corporate setting.

“The project was programmed from the ground up and required a large budget, multiple staff members and time constraints,” Kennedy explains. “From this experience, I began to question the viability of such projects in an increasingly technology aware society.”

Working with Waypoint, Kennedy looks forward to transferring his knowledge of technology and systems from the scientific industry into the IT business and services industry.

“Waypoint work with cloud-based applications,” Kennedy says, “which I see as the future in the way we conduct business. The increased demand for SaaS will see this affordable, mobile, efficient, scalable software available to a wider range of people.”

Kennedy looks forward to being part of this process, adding value to the expanding business environment within the organisation, whilst working with “a great team of people who are passionate about their work.”

Kennedy will join new team member Jayne Moberley, who brings extensive IT experience in project consulting across the health, government and ICT industries.

Kennedy describes himself as a customer focused, results driven, enthusiastic individual.

When he’s not basking in the glow of a screen or expanding his knowledge, Kennedy likes to play sport. “And nothing beats relaxing in the sunshine after a hard day’s work,” he adds.

Managing Director Dan Fairbairn is excited about the new knowledge and expertise Kennedy and Moberley will provide for Ocius customers.

“Both new hires come to us with project experience gained in a variety of industries,” says Dan. “This will give us the opportunity to scale out our offerings, whilst retaining the values that have allowed us to become Melbourne’s leading cloud integrator.”
