Cloud integration consultancy Waypoint has been nominated for this years SMART 100.
Fans, friends, colleagues and customers are now encouraged to vote for nominees in the Vivid Readers’s Choice Index.
Developed in 2008, Anthill’s SMART 100 is Australia’s largest awards program dedicated to innovation. According to Anthill Magazine, SMART 100 “identifies and ranks new Australian innovations by applying a combination of crowdsourcing, collaboration and common-sense.”
Since 2003, Anthill has evolved into one of Australia’s leading online communities for Australian business owners, dedicated to innovation, entrepreneurship and the commercial development of ideas. The Vivid Readers’ Choice Index provides an opportunity for Anthill readers to vote on SMART 100 nominees – tweeting, sharing, liking and commenting on entrants’ profiles.
In what is shaping up to be a promising year for the team, Waypoint has also been nominated for the 2015 Telstra Small Business Awards.
Whereas competitors offer what CEO Dan Fairbairn refers to as a ‘cookie cutter’ approach, the Waypoint team work closely with clients “to ensure that they come out the other end of a project with us, much the better for it.”
Recognising a gap in the market for cloud based small business solutions, Fairbairn drew on his experience with Xero and associated software to launch the business in November 2013.
“Seeing a need to help SMEs in Australia to become more systemised, more profitable and more efficient, I started Waypoint, originally as a sole trader,” explains Dan.
Having left a previous role performing a similar task set for large business, Dan set out to create a company which could provide top quality services to smaller organisations.
“With our help,” says Fairbairn, “small businesses are now able to scale like never before, and use software that previously would have cost tens of thousands of dollars for less than $100 per month.
