Sweet Beginnings is a social enterprise that provides employment opportunities to men and women who have recently been released from prison. As you can imagine, reintegration into society can be difficult and despite serving their time, the legacy of their crime can make employment hard to come by. Sweet Beginnings owner Bob Miller saw this and wanted to do something.
We worked with Adam and his team to understand the current process for managing projects. This involved a mix of spreadsheets and paper based documentation. Once we got to grips with the current way of working we were able to develop a new process that would give Adam the visibility needed to manage the day-to-day operations and plan for the future.
Adding real time inventory capabilities to AFI Branding’s custom production system means they can now track every raw material and finished product with ease. No more jumping between different spreadsheets to try to get a handle on stock levels. And, the real-time element is huge for them. In the past, they had to wait until the ‘end of period’ to get accurate reporting which of course, in many cases was too late to make any corrective decisions.
